I like to experiment with new colors.

A friend thought me how to get different tones of colors using different eyeliner colors.

Eyeliners can act as a base to highlight ur eyeshadow.

For eg I'd take a dark grey eyeliner and draw a thick line on my hand and use a brush to dab a little shimmering white eyeliner on that line.

For different tones eg a lilac colored eyeshadow,

I'd use dark brown eyeliner as a base if I want it dark for night outs,

or white eyeliner if I want it light for day use.
well it depends on the colour of your eyes. and for great eye shoadow tips try picking up a copy of cosmo. They always have advice on the new colours, and trends and how to apply them. It also depends on the shape of your eyes too. It should look fairly natural for during the day, and only be amped up at night time with the addition of one other colour. Too many colours looks bad. Follow the K.I.S.S. principle, Keep it simple smily. and use a lip colour that isn't too dark or light to compliment your eye shadow.
ok this is what i do:

base colour (usually close to your skin tone or a pale colour) over all or ur lid

dark colour (usually same sort of colour as ur base colour just a darker shade) use on crease of eyelid

light colour or highlighter (a fairly bright or pale colour such as white/ivory (goes with anything) pale lilac (say if uve been using purpley shades) pale sky blue (if uve been using blue shades) ect. always choose a pale colour) inside corner of eye to make them look bigger and under brow bone.

so thats

-base colour on lid

-dark colour on crease(and sometimes outer corner of the eye)

-light colour inside corner and under brow bone

hope i helped and good luck xx
there are videos on 'www.videojug.com' that show you how to apply all sorts of makeup - its free and you don't need to sign up or anything... just go under the beauty section.
How you apply your eye makeup should be based on your eye shape. You can check out my website and click on your eyes shape and it will give you step by step instructions on applying your eye colors. It takes 3 eye colors to contour your eyes - a highlight, midtone and accent color
Well I'm pretty good at doing makeup and I put a shimmer on the eye first then at the bottom I put a dark color then a medium color then a lighter o the top.

Here is a link to a good site which shows you a video on how to apply it has loads of useful tips.

You've basically got the idea

Firstly add some foundation to both eyelids to help the eyeshadow last all day

Then apply the palest shade, making sure you tap off excess powder.

Sweep a pale shade of eyeshadow lightly over the area from the socket line of your eyelid to just below the eyebrow.

Add the medium shade. Remembering to tap the excess away apply over both eyelids up to the socket line.

Finally apply the darkest shade at the outer corners of your eyes just above the ete lashes and into the socket line. You may want to apply a little to the lower lashes too.

Blend all the colours together and add some mascara.
well i use a light color under by brow, then a light color in the corner of my eyes then i use a light base color then a dark color in the crease
