What makeup brand is better, MAC or smashbox? And why?

My wife's planning on selling only one brand. The one with the most votes will determine which one she's investing in. Thanks for your help.What makeup brand is better, MAC or smashbox? And why?
MAC. I've heard from a lot of people that smashbox's primers make people break out.





Plus MAC has a more established reputation, and you know exactly what you're getting when you pay for MAC-- A high quality, long lasting product with excellent color payoff, made from non-shady ingredients.





But um, you can't ';sell'; MAC as an individual, the way you can sell Avon or Mary Kay. To turn any sort of profit, you'd have to raise the prices, which aren't exactly cheap to begin with. To be honest, I'd rather go to MAC counter and pay retail and know that I'm getting it straight from a retailer than buy it from some random chick. A lot of girls that claim to be ';MAC retailers'; sell fake MAC. Most of the MAC products found on places like ebay are fake, or just wildly overpriced.





';Connections'; sounds terribly shady. If you're going to use a MAC Pro card to get a discount and then turn around and sell the products at retail value, MAC will take legal action.What makeup brand is better, MAC or smashbox? And why?
ive been a patron of both for many many years, and i like both to be honest, mac foundation isnt as good as smash box, but mac setting powder is better, id use the smash box blusher, cause i find mac blusher doesnt last, definitly smashbox mascara, tho estdelauder is actually the businesss for masscara, but


eh eyeshadow, theyre kind of the same for that, altho mac eyeshadow breaks easyer, em, their custom brushes, id go for smashbox everytime, there better quality, and finer strands,


eyeliners id use smashbox, more vivid colour, eh, what else, conceler, smashbox, without a doubt their superiour!!! the one that looks like a lipstick tube, is great doesnt last as long as the mac,(life time not time on face) and is more expensive, but its 10 times better cover,


highlighters, and tweekers, id go with smash box again on this one, theve a nice glow to them,

honestly while mac does have more brand recognition, anyone who trys the smashbox will come back time and again


because the quality of all their products is fantastic, ive never been unhappy with any smashbox product, their great! i have with mac, many times! and on compasison, smashbox will get the most loyal customers
They're both great brands but I think MAC has more popularity. MAC has more to offer in colors and just overall products. The latest makeup buzz is usually always surrounding MAC. They're a huge company with great marketing skills. If I were her, I'd go for MAC.
I'd say MAC because it's a more well known and trusted brand. It's used by professionals everyday, which gives it a lot of credibility.
Smashbox...the coverage is incredible the scent is subtle and they have amazing brushes. The eyes products do not crease or run. Smashbox is not as popular but the products are superior!
Both are excellent, but MAC is a more recognizable brand, so I'm guessing it will probably sell better. Smashbox is just as good though.
i like mac products because its very light it doesnt feel like it wieghs you down. it goes on nice and smoothly, and it just looks better.
I'm going to say MAC! I love Urban Decay way more than MAC. MAC is pretty damn good just the same. Smash Box sucks I don't like their products.
Mac all the way! It has a great rep and the quality is excellent. I believe she would be able to sell more Mac than Smashbox.
MAC because they dont use nor test or mistreat animals with their products.
