Is tester makeup as good as the actual makeup you buy?

Okay, so I went to the mall and went to Macy's last to get some MAC powerpoint eyeliner in the seaish blue because I heard it was really pretty and really good. So of course, I tried the tester on and it looked so pretty! unfortuantly, I only had $10 left on me so I just decided i'd pick it up next time I go back to the counter.





Okay, so like an hour later, I go to touch up my makeup and the blue eyeliner I tried on is completely smudged all over my eye!


I thought it was supposed to be really good makeup?





Is it because it was a tester, or is mac powerpoint eyeliner just bad in general?Is tester makeup as good as the actual makeup you buy?
The makeup is the exact same . It could be because of the different applicators you use.


I would look it up online to see the customer reviews, or just buy it....

Yes they are the exact same but certainly not sterile. Imagine how many people used the eyeliner, all that bacteria. Eww. Dont use it unless you want to get some yucky face issues XD
The tester is the actual product...no different. You are paying for the name, Mac, that is it.
its the exact same. but the reason its not as good is because you use different, sterile applicators which do not work as well.
its the same stuff, but it may have been siitting out for a long time, or your applicator was different.
idk about that. i went to a place called the ';oasis';. and they had samples when you walked out and they gave me some body butter that smelled so awesome and it was reallly really thick and it was awesome! then i spotted a big jar of it taht was like $12, and i opened it and it just looked diluted or something.
