Do you think sephora has better makeup or mac?

and i mean all the different brands they sell at sephora, like dior, benefit, too faced, etc.





i only buy makeup at sephora but i got my makeup done at mac for my senior picture because my friend recommended it and i have to say that their makeup isnt all that great. it felt way too thick and it looked cakey on my face. i didnt like it all.





but my mom liked it so i didnt complain and she even bought me the eyeliner and mascara they used on me. when i got home i used them and i found that the eyeliner smudged a lot and the mascara was just as good as drugstore brand makeup.





i personally think sephora sells better makeup

and mac is overrated. i just wanted to know what other people think.Do you think sephora has better makeup or mac?
i don't really know. both are good. but i remembered when i used my friend's sephora eyeliner, my left eye became lumpy, maybe i'm allergic.then use the one u think is the best, forget what everyone say.


sometimes people just tend to follow what's popular even tho it's not really good for them. so go for what's best for u.Do you think sephora has better makeup or mac?

i agree with you, i think sephora is better.
sephora, no contest !! check out bare minerals by bare escentuals, the next time you are at sephora, i totally adore that make-up. their eyeliner shadows wear well, no smudging. i actually prefer volume exact by covergirl over diorshow, it works better for me.
i definitly like both b/c at sephora i can just browse the aisles and try on different kinds of makeup but i also luv MAC b/c there foundation is really good it covers everything and its the only foundation ive tried that doesn't make my oily and gross but ive never broken out with it and it doesn't seem that cakey or 2 heavy maybe the MAC makeup artist apply 2 much makeup or something but i apply my studio fix fluid with a makeup brush and i only apply 1 or 2 thin layers of foundation and then i spot concealer with the foundation putting more where i need it and it really does last all day even when i sweat or its hot and i also luv there fluidline it doesn't smudge and it looks really nice.so i like both of them 4 different reasons
You can not really compare MAC to Sephora. MAC is just MAC and Sephora has an array of brands. I have used MAC foundation and I did not like it. It is too oily and feels like your skin can't breathe. They are good at color matching at MAC. I just use it to add a little color to Loreal 16 hour foundation that i use.
i liek mac becasue of the bold look, but sephora defintly is bette rquality. the have a huge variety and i love just browsing int he store. love it.
Yueah i kind of agree i tried this shimmery eye shadow when I look in a mirror hours later my face was COVERED in sparkles so i only use the eyeliner because it doesnt melt away on my skin:D
if you prefer dior makeup over mac then you prefer Dior and not necessarily Sephora; Sephora sells Dior, among other brands, AND has it's own brand of makeup (sephora brand).





also, Sephora belongs to the LVMH group so of course they sell quality makeups and perfumes.





but anyway, yeah...i don't like mac. their counter girls scare me--their makeup is so outragous, i wouldn't trust them to give me a free makeover.

Well, i love sephora especially all the lip gloss's they have. And i like that they carry a lot of different brands, like Dior, Chanel, stila, benefit, pout, DuWop, etc.. ( the list goes on and on lol)





But i also like m.a.c's lip products, like their viva glam v lipstick and tendertones lip SPF 15 in pucker. But my friend use their foundation, ans she said it was really cakey.
I have used Mac products, and was pleased with them. But I love Sephora--it's like Disneyland for girls! I like the option of so many products in one store, and trying them for myself. And the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have found that the staff at Mac can be a little snooty. The only drawback with Sephora is I always spend way too much money when I visit!
MAC makes me break out. Not good for my skin. I wear Chanel or Benefit. I prefer Sephora by far. But the MAC eye shawdow is much better then anything else on the market.
